What is Scrap.io?

Scrap.io is a web app that pulls business listings from Google Maps, Apple Maps and Bing Maps. You pick a business type, like "plumber", and an area, like a city or state. You filter the results for free, then spend one credit for each business you export to CSV or Excel.

Each export row has the listing data plus what Scrap.io finds on the business website, like emails, social links, contact pages and tech. It is run by a small French team, covers 195 countries, and says more than 50,000 people use it. It is often confused with Skrapp.io, a different LinkedIn email finder.

Compared with another Google Maps scraper like LocalProspects, the big gap for cold outreach is who you reach. Scrap.io sorts emails by type, but it has no owner name field, so you often write to a sales@ or contact@ inbox. LocalProspects gives the owner's name when it can be found on public pages, every email on the site labeled personal or role-based, and each phone's line type and carrier. Scrap.io is stronger outside the US, adds Apple and Bing Maps listings, and lets you filter before you spend credits.

Every plan includes the API, the MCP connection for AI assistants, reverse search and file enrichment. An enterprise plan called Atlas starts at $5,000 a month. You can cancel anytime, and upgrades are refunded pro rata for the unused time. Prices from Scrap.io's pricing page on October 27, 2026.

Is Scrap.io worth it?

Yes, if you need large Google Maps lists and will use most of your credits each month. The filters save time, the exports are detailed, and it is one of the few tools that can pull a whole state or country in one go, in the US or abroad.

Probably not, if you cold email owners or only need a few hundred leads now and then. There are no owner names, credits do not roll over, and wider areas need the $199 or $499 plans. Test the 7-day trial on your own niche and area first, and cancel before it ends if it does not fit.

Scrap.io alternatives

The tools most often recommended instead of Scrap.io are LocalProspects (owner names and every email on each business website, plus whole-state search on every plan), Outscraper and Apify (pay as you go scraping), D7 Lead Finder (simple keyword and city lists), PhantomBuster (multi-step outreach automation) and Lobstr.io or Octoparse (no-code scrapers).
